i found this, Funkalicious, nerd i am , and had to take the quiz of course...turns out i am quite nerdy...much more so than ms. Funkalicious, heh heh heh.
alas, i accomplished almost nothing for the last week...i was hoping to take full advantage of the productive spurt i was on, but once again life decided this was not to be...a combination of severe allergy problems, and needing to grind through the never ending problems caused by spamming fuckwads killed my drive to work for a bit over a week...it is hard to be excited about computer anything, when you can't stop sneezing for more than 5 minutes...yesterday was the first day in over a week that i wasn't sneezing non stop.
add that to thye tedious grinding drudgery of having to research, update, and admin about 40 sites between my g/f and i, and the result was complete apathy...couldn't even summon enthusiasm for reading or tv/dvds...thankfully it has passed, and we are back at it...working on graphics for another web project, and trying to research the best solution to the endless upgrading of web apps, etc.
good thing i work best when multi tasking...it may take a bit longer to complete any one thing, and some do slip through the cracks, but it keeps me from dying of boredom...besides, so many things require me to wait for something beyond my control to advance/complete...so it just seems to make more sense working on 8 or 10 things concurrently...this way, i keep busy, and mostly productive (aside from wasting time here).
done...cleaned all the spam comments out of here at last...what a pain...at least it is done...never letting that happen again.
i heard back from the woman who was using my ast as a background on her site with out my permission...she apologized, and added a blurb crediting me for the artwork, and linking to my site...glad it was simple to deal with this time.
THANK YOU CHRIS...he found my photos in the horrific mess thaty is our garage...i have mentioned several times how badly i wanted to find them...15 rolls of pictures, lost for several years, and assumed dead...they are a bit worse for wear, but appear to be in decent shape, and i am looking forward to getting them scanned in, and posted in my personal gallery...WHOOP
i want to give a huge thanks, NOT, to all the bastards who dilligently slave to discover an endless series of exploits for every common web application...it warms me to know that "Hackers" are slaving away at this so scumbag spammers can make use of them...because of their laboring we are faced with the monumental task of upgrading the majority of our php apps...under any circumstance, this is a daunting job, as we have literally dozens of installs of several of them...unfortunately, every single install is customized with Corrinne's hacks, and mods, which are unique to each install, and tied into the core scripting...this means we have weeks of work to upgrade, and then integrate all those hacks into the new version...SIGH.
what a rollercoaster my life has been the last few months...visitors coming almost every week to spend time with my g/f's dad, while he is still able to enjoy them....road trip to Houston over xmas to spend it with her brother and his family...and the emotional ups and downs of the whole thing...so far things have been going much better then we could have hoped...he is still feeling good, and is not yet suffering any real side effects of the cancer...we have no idea how long this will continue, as he has already exceeded the low end of the estimate...we are making the most of it.
i have 2 new cameras...we bought a new digital in Oct to capture as much of the good times left...makes for some nice memories, and a tribute as well...i also got a new slr for xmas, so i should be taking lots of pics, as time allows...somehow, i managed to reformat my system in that period, so it is finally running decently again...most surprisingly i managed to get a few new images up in the Color Photos Album
I also created a logo for a friend's new web site, which came out well, or at least i think so...you can see several versions of it in the Logo Album ...his site is called Ate Up, and should be up soon.
alas, my hiatus has resulted in my being spam commented to death...my own stupid fault, but a big pain none the less...deleted over 2,000 comments so far, but still hav e over 9,000 to go...i guess i will be chipping away at them for a while...i will try and post here semi regularly until things change...i hope to get at least oe entry a week for now.
